In Reply To Is Johnsen's DOT 4 Brake fluid good enough for road course? posted by BlitZ91TT on July 11, 2013 at 10:20 PM

Message I've seen people boil Motul & Wilwood fluid on full BBK's, crack performance brake pads, you name it... even on a small 1.2 mi road course.

All comes down to how agressive you are on the braking system. Fluid changeout is only part of it; how much you heat the system, what your driving style is and the efficiency of your brakes in shedding heat will be your limiting factor in brake performance.

Depends on experience as well... first time out? Fresh fluid will be OK, what kind of pads are you running? Street pads will fade before your fluid boils.

Need more info on your experience level and type of brake pads...
